    The course provides an examination of changes in social, cognitive, personality and physiological processes that occur with age. Attention is focused on human development throughout the life span.

    Neuroscience (Lect 3.0)

    The neuro-physiological basis of behaviour is examined. Topics covered include the structure and function of nerves and the nervous system; psychopharmacology; sleep and biological rhythms; reproductive behaviour; emotion; learning and memory; communication; and psychological disorders.

3rd Year Semester II, SPRING

    Introduction to Programming (Lect 3.0)

    Programming design and development using C++. Emphasis is placed on problem solving methods using good programming practices and algorithm design and development. Topics included are syntax/ semantics, logical, relational and arithmetic operators, decision branching, loops, functions, file I/O, arrays, output formatting, C-strings, and an introduction to Object-Oriented Programming including the development and use of classes.

    Prerequisite: accompanied by CS 54

    An introductory study of various forms of personality and behavioural disorders. Consideration is given to neuroses, psychoses, mental deficiency and other deviations, with emphasis on etiology and treatment.
