An introduction to operating systems, word processing, spread sheets, and data base manipulation. A post baccalaureate course designed for teachers and persons in related occupations. The course is offered subject to sufficient demand. This course cannot be used toward a computer science degree.

A study of linear equations, rational functions, radicals, quadratic equations, inequalities, determinants, progressions, theory of equations, permutations, combinations, and the binomial theorem.

Statistics for the Social Sciences I (Lect. 3.0)
A survey course in statistics for the social and behavioral sciences. Main emphasis is on inductive rather than traditional descriptive statistics. Attention is given to the design of experiments, sampling procedures, basic probability distributions, tests of significance, linear regression and correlation, and analysis of variance.

An examination of English expression through verbal communication, listening comprehension, and dialogue. The course will focus on the appropriate forms of interaction that are suitable for specific occasions.

This course is an introduction to the science of the human mind and behaviour. Topics include brain structure and function, human development, learning and memory, motivation, emotion, personality and psychological health, psychological disorders and their treatment, and social cognition and human relationships.

This is a study of the content, models, and methodologies of psychological research. The student is exposed to fundamental components in conducting psychological research including the literature review, experimental design, statistical analyses, and interpretation.

Principles and concepts of economic growth and development; theories of economic development; the economic changes since the 1990s; factors of growth and development in the Gulf countries; employment, health, education and training, and entrepreneurship and its role in the development of the region; natural resources: petroleum and its significance in the development of the region.
