» There will be theoretical and practical exams as indicated in the program structure.

» The students will also submit a project which will be assessed as follows:

1. Project, Dissertation & Seminar/Presentation
2. Continuous Assessment / Interim report
3. Viva-Voce

» The university will award marks, divisions and Pass/Fail. The bye-laws for the same are as follows:-

1. For a pass at each semester examination, a candidate shall be required to obtain:
   1. At least 36% marks in each individual paper and also in the dissertation / project report/seminar, wherever prescribed, and 40% marks in the aggregate of all the papers prescribed for the examination
   2. At least 40% marks in the practical(s), wherever prescribed.
2. It will be necessary for a candidate to pass in theory part and practical part separately.
3. The division of successful candidates shall be worked out at the end of the Final Semester examinations.

   Aggregate marks obtained in Ist, IInd, IIIrd & IVth Semester Examinations will be taken.

   First Division	≥ 60%
   Second Division	≥ 50% and < 60%
   Third Division	≥ 40% and < 50%

4. The contact hours per week denote the total credit for the course which is specified in the scheme.

   One semester assumes 15 weeks of study and 70% minimum attendance is mandatory.
