An introduction to operating systems, word processing, spread sheets, and data base manipulation. A post baccalaureate course designed for teachers and persons in related occupations. The course is offered subject to sufficient demand. This course cannot be used toward a computer science degree.

College Algebra (Lect 3.0)
A study of linear equations, rational functions, radicals, quadratic equations, inequalities, determinants, progressions, theory of equations, permutations, combinations, and the binomial theorem.
Prerequisite: Placement examination.

Accounting I
This course presents a comprehensive and practical approach to modern-day principles of accounting. It focuses largely on accounting for external reporting and the generation of financial information necessary for managerial decision-making. The course gives students the opportunity to master accounting concepts and provides a firm foundation for further studies. This course introduces students to the conceptual structure of financial accounting in an effort to develop their ability to read, understand, and interpret the general purpose of financial statements (income statements, position statements, statement of retained earnings, cash flow statements) reported to investors and creditors of corporate business entities.

An examination of how resources and products are priced and how income is distributed within various types of market structures.

An examination of English expression through verbal communication, listening comprehension, and dialogue. The course will focus on the appropriate forms of interaction that are suitable for specific occasions.

This course is an introduction to the science of the human mind and behaviour. Topics include brain structure and function, human development, learning and memory, motivation, emotion, personality and psychological health, psychological disorders and their treatment, and social cognition and human relationships.

Accounting II
This course is a continuation of Accounting 130. It mainly deals with basic accounting aspects of partnerships and corporations. It also gives a brief introduction to departmental accounting.

Business Economy and Management
This course provides an introduction to the management of organizations, and is designed to familiarize students with management principles, concepts, and practices. The work of the manager is studied in terms of roles, required knowledge and skills. Topics covered include managing in a global environment, planning, organizing, leading and controlling.

Economic Development in the Gulf States
Principles and concepts of economic growth and development; theories of economic development; the economic changes since the 1990s; factors of growth and development in the Gulf countries; employment, health, education and training, and entrepreneurship and its role in the development of the region; natural resources: petroleum and its significance in the development of the region.
Prerequisites: ECON 121 and ECON 122.

Statistical Tools for Decision Making (Lect 3.0)
An introduction to statistical techniques commonly used in management decision making. Topics include statistical inference of population parameters, linear regression, basics of experimental design and analysis, analysis of categorical data, and the use of statistical software.
